The T&S Brass 010386-45 Flat Strainer is applied to filter the debris in the flow of the fluid by letting the liquid pass through the perforated or mesh surface of the strainer and trapping the particles on the strainer face. Adding water or any other fluid prevents the contaminants and hence assists in the preservation of downstream valves, fittings or components. It is installed in-line at the end of a plumbing line or in front of a valve on a compatible. The strainer can be used in systems that are supposed to trap debris in commercial kitchen water systems.
