The Montague 01040-5 Gas Pressure Regulator 1/2 inch LP 5.5 inch -12 inch WC with 1/2 inch FPT inlet/outlet regulates the pressure of the gas by decreasing the supply of the gas to a predetermined working pressure as the gas passes through the internal diaphragm and spring assembly. The gas flows into the inlet connection and is controlled to flow between the water column and to the outlet to the burner system of the appliance. It is fitted in the gas line of compatible cooking equipment, which is mounted ahead of the burners.
