The Manitowoc 040002393 Magnetic Bin Switch is an essential component of ice machines, which is used to control the ice level in the bin. This one uses the magnetic system in that a float containing a magnet moves up and down depending on the ice level. This movement causes a change and informs the ice machine’s control system about the ice level. When the ice level touches a certain low level, the switch informs the machine to produce more ice. On the other hand, when the bin is full of ice, the switch is used to stop the formation of ice.
