The Jackson 05330-002-34-22 Pump Seal 5/8" DIA is a tight-fitting shield that keeps the pump housing and rotating parts apart and does not allow fluid to escape when in operation. It is firmly clamped around the motor shaft and it provides a constant seal at different pressures. It fits into the valve assembly and is installed in the area where it goes through the housing, so that it fits in the correct position. This is designed to fit into the system and it is compact and designed to be replaced to have constant contact with rotating parts.
