The Imperial 1080 Rock is a replacement heat-retention medium used in commercial char-broiler systems to support indirect cooking performance. It is a pumice rock arranged in the broiler basin above the burners, where it absorbs and redistributes heat across the cooking surface to reduce direct flame contact with food. This component is installed in char-rock broilers commonly used in restaurants, steakhouses, and kitchens for grilling meats and other foods.
