The Seco 1157 Heating Element transforms electricity into heat by passing current through a resistive coil that allows a controlled increase in temperature. It has a power of 1000 watts and 208 volts with the heat being evenly distributed as the electricity passes through the element when it is operating. The element is mounted in a compatible foodservice equipment, and it is usually situated either in the heating chamber or under a cooking surface. This is attached to the power circuit of the unit to provide the unit with constant heat to cook or warm food or items.
