The Southbend 1162523 Ceramic Briquettes 2-1/4" Sq absorb the heat of the burners and distribute the heat evenly over the grilling surface. They operate through seizing flame energy and spreading heat to eliminate hot spots and protect food against direct exposure to flames. In compatible grills, the briquettes are stacked in one layer on top of the burners and underneath the cooking grates. This part is fitted in the grill assembly which assists in even distribution of heat and regulates cooking conditions during grill processes.
