The Dean 1588 Drain Valve W/Handle is used to drain liquid from compatible equipment via a threaded outlet connection. It works by rotating the handle attached to it to open, or close the valve equipment inside it, enabling the flow to be started or stopped according to need. It is attached to the drainage line of an appliance or similar systems with a threaded 1-1/4" female pipe connection. Placement is usually at the drain outlet point where controlled discharge is required in commercial kitchen equipment or other plumbing systems.
