Description

The Scotsman 16-1142-01 Ice Machine Thermal Expansion Valve Danfoss meters refrigerant entering the evaporator within the cooling circuit. An internal regulating mechanism responds to pressure and temperature conditions, adjusting the passage to control liquid coolant flow. The TXV identifies the thermal expansion valve configuration. The connection ports join the frame with adjoining refrigerant tubing, positioning the assembly between the liquid line and evaporator inlet. Changing flow through the valve supports stable coolant conditions as the freezing cycle progresses.
