The ROYAL RANGE 1802 Rock Broiler Bottom Grate Cast Iron 4" X 20" gives the cookware a stable base and spreads the heat throughout the appliance. It works by placing food or pans over the flame and letting the heat of the burners pass evenly through the cast iron. This grate is placed at the bottom of the broiler cavity directly over the burner assembly. Its positioning is such that it supports and spaces cookware to allow normal operation of cooking and regular exposure to heat when in use.
