The Hobart 18380 Door Strike is installed on a door that has a door latch by offering a shaped metal receiver which is captured by the latch bolt as the door closes. When door, is pushed into the frame, the bolt travels along the strike face and clips into the pocket, keeping the door in a closed position until the latch is released. The component is fitted on door frame at the latch alignment point which is opposite the lockset. Made of formed metal, it ensures the constant contact of the latch and frame.
