The Vulcan Hart 00-715039 Salamander Broiler Tube Coupling with Shutoff operates by connecting portions of the gas tube of the broiler and enabling the flow of gas to the burner by an internal shutoff system when the valve is open and preventing the flow of gas when the valve is closed. It has threaded connections and an internal shutoff valve that reacts to rotation to initiate or terminate passage of gas when in operation. It is fitted in the gas line assembly of salamander broilers where a 3/16" compression connection is needed.
