The Jade Range 4619000000 Range Thermostat 3/16 x 12-1/4 x 36 CAP 175°C 500C KXT operates by detecting the temperature variations in the cooking unit and adjusting the flow of gas to keep the desired heat level. It operates on a temperature sensitive bulb and capillary system which expands and contracts with heat, which activates the control valve to control the burner activity. It is a thermostat installed in the control assembly of the range, whereby it is linked to the burner and temperature dial, and it controls the correct temperature during the cooking process.
