The Hobart 497765-2 Safety Valve regulates the flow of gas by responding to the pilot flame, allowing gas to pass simply if proper ignition is present. Featuring 1/8-inch NPT pilot inlet and outlet connections, it operates with the pilot assembly to control gas flow and automatically shuts off the supply if the pilot flame is extinguished. This safety valve is installed within compatible commercial gas cooking equipment, where it operates as part of the gas control system between the pilot assembly and main burner to manage gas flow during equipment operation.
