The APW AS-1410400 Sealed Hot Plate 208V operates by transforming electrical energy into thermal power by the use of an internal heating element which uniformly heats the flat top surface. This energy can be conducted to any flat-bottomed cookware that is set up on the solid plate through the process of conductive heat transfer.The circular heating zone is encircled by a stainless steel perimeter flange that allows it to fit into the equipment housing in a flush manner. The power flow is controlled using manual control knobs to ensure that the cooking temperatures.
