The Groen Z001126 Armored Thermopile 750mV operates by transforming heat into electrical energy that is utilized in powering the control circuit of the appliance. It detects the burner heat and sends a millivolt signal to enable the gas valve system to work. The thermopile is mounted in the burner assembly with the sensor tip being in the flame path. It is intended to be used with commercial steamers and other gas-heated parts and helps to maintain the correct ignition and ensure that the heating system of the appliance will react correctly during the operation.
