The Blodgett 8584 Convection Oven Ball Plunger Door Catch is used to hold the door in place by a spring-loaded ball that connects when the door is forced closed and disconnects when forced open. It operates by exerting a uniform pressure on the door frame, clamping the door in place until it is released. This ball plunger is fitted in the door frame or latch assembly of the oven cabinet, and is fitted to fit in the corresponding strike on the door. It is small in size and can be easily inserted into the current latch cavity without any inconvenience.
