The Insinger D2241 Bronze Vacuum Breaker operates by preventing, the reverse flow of water through the plumbing system using an internal air inlet mechanism that activates when negative pressure conditions occur. When a vacuum or back-siphonage condition develops it allows air to enter the line interrupting reverse water movement and maintaining separation between the water supply and connected equipment. This component is installed in compatible commercial dishwashing and foodservice water systems where it connects to a 1/2-inch water line and is rated for operation at pressures up to 125 PSI.
