The Hoshizaki 4A2134-01 Freezer Start Capacitor 320 MFD 125 VAC stores and discharges electrical energy to assist in starting the compressor motor of the appliance by giving it a temporary increase in current. Once the compressor starts its cycle the capacitor provides the surge required to start rotating and then goes back to standby once it has started. It is fitted in the electrical compartment of the freezer and attached to the specific terminals with the compressor. The capacitor is placed close to the compressor motor to ensure a stable start of the motor.
