Pumps

Dishwasher Pumps

Dishwasher pumps ensure proper cleaning and draining of dishes. There are two types of dishwasher pumps: drain pump and water pump. Whereas the dishwasher water pump is in charge of pumping water through the dishwasher during the wash cycle, the dishwasher drain pump is in charge of draining water from the dishwasher. Dishwashing issues, such as standing water in the dishwasher or improperly cleaned dishes, may result from a fault with either pump. If you need to replace a dishwasher pump, be sure to choose the right one. Dishwasher pump replacement parts are widely available, but you should make sure you purchase the correct part for your dishwasher model.

In addition to the dishwasher drain pump and water pump, some dishwashers also have a dishwasher detergent pump. During the wash cycle, it distributes detergent throughout the dishwasher. If the dishwasher detergent pump malfunctions, you may notice that dishes aren't getting properly cleaned or that there's excess detergent remaining in the dishwasher after a cycle. Dishwasher pump parts, including the detergent pump, are also available for replacement if necessary.
