The Garland 1021902 Door Catch is used to secure a door by connecting with a matching strike plate or a latch. When the door is closed, the mechanism of the catch is activated and holds the panel until it is forced open. It is attached to the frame or edge of the door and made to fit in the striker on the other surface where the two meet when closing. The catch makes sure that the door remains in line and in place against the frame on compatible cooking or refrigerator equipment until it is deliberately opened.
