The Vulcan Hart 00-423847-00001 Door Strike 2 -1/2 x 1 -1/2 x 1 -3/8 x 1 -1/2 Door Strikes are used to hold a closed offering a fixed surface to the door latch to catch on. When the door is closed, the latch slides into the strike plate and clips into the opening so that the door cannot swing open until it is pushed open. It is mounted on the frame or jamb of compatible equipment doors and is where the latch and strike meet when the door is closed. The plate has holes and dimensions in line with the mounting points.
