The Frymaster FM2607 Fry Basket contains the food items as they are put into the fryer and come out of it so that hot oil can circulate around the items and cook them. When the basket is put in the fryer, the wire mesh will still allow the oil to pass through and around the food and drain back into the fryer once it is lifted. This basket is placed in the fryer tank and it is mounted on the fryer ledge or handle bracket.
