Specifications:

  • Type: Gland Packing
  • Size: 1-1/4"

Description

The Groen Z001045 Gland Packing forms a compressed sealing section around a shaft or stem passing through a stationary housing. The compression in the bundled substance fills the space around the moving element, restricting fluid flow through the opening. The 1-1/4" measurement determines the stated pack size for the corresponding gland area. The adjustment pressure from the surrounding gland equipment compresses the contents against the shaft surface and housing wall. The commercial fluid-handling assemblies used the packing at a shaft penetration requiring a controlled seal.
