The Southbend 1196078 Range Thermocouple is a 30-inch temperature sensor developed for measuring heat in different cooking and industrial processes. Unlike a thermocouple that works on Seebeck effect, by having exposed junctions of two dissimilar metals that generate a voltage proportional with temperature difference, it can also be used to measure temperature with high accuracy. The operational range of this thermocouple is broad, it can be used for both high and low temperatures and is durable due to the construction materials used. Advantages are fast response time, efficiency as compared to other sensors, and low maintenance.
