The Scotsman A39031-021 Ice Thickness Sensor Replacement is used to measure the ice layer thickness by measuring the contact of the sensor probe with the developing ice layer and transmitting a signal to the control board to manage the harvest cycle. The sensor converts contact or resistance changes to an electrical signal that is used to indicate that ice has grown to a predetermined thickness. It is placed inside the ice-making compartment close to the evaporator and it touches the ice as it forms. This is a compatible component to be used in ice machines.
