The Southbend 1184192 Range Burner Valve Knob 2-1/2" DIA 1/4" D-Stem Flat Up Cast Aluminum controls the flow of gas to a burner by rotating the valve stem to the open or closed position. It is attached to the 1/4" D-shaped stem of the burner valve and the flat part must be facing upward to activate. The knob is placed on the front control panel of the range, which gives the operator easy access to the flame intensity when cooking. The position enables manual operation of the burner in the range models that are compatible with this position.
