The Vulcan Hart 00-428300-00001 Range Knob Black 2-3/4" outer diameter is rotary to transmit rotary motion to the internal control shaft to change operating settings. It is used to rotate the attached valves or switches in controlled increments. It is mounted on the front control panel of compatible commercial cooking equipment, where it is set manually. The black finish provides a distinct contrast to indicator markings and the rounded profile provides a consistent grip in operation. This is in direct contact with lower-level controls modifying internal assemblies.
