Description

The Magikitch'N 60136401 Slam Action Latch is a part that works by activating a spring-assisted locking mechanism. It automatically locks a door once it has been closed with a knocking motion, where the lock tongue will catch and hold the strike plate without the requirement to go through any manual locking action. It works by having a pivoting latch arm and internal spring tension to steer the hook into position as the door moves so that the hinge can fit in and out with ease, and when the handle or release button is released the latch can be easily released.
