Description

The Groen Z012228 Packing Nut works by clamping the valve stem into a water valve that forms a seal to regulate the movement of liquids, or gases through the system. It fits tightly over the packing material around the stem compressing it to stop leakage and to ensure proper nozzle operation. This part is usually attached to the outside of the valve assembly on the side where the stem comes out, and is accessible for adjustments or maintenance. It is compact enough to be mounted directly on compatible valves so that the packing will not fall away during normal operation.
