The Garland 2200706 Gas Range Thermocouple Retaining Nut attaches to the assembly, which attaches the sensing element to the pilot flame. It is wound on the end and clamped against to ensure a firm connection, enabling it to pass temperature signals to the equipment. This retaining is installed between the control Valve and is at the point of intersection of the sensing probe and the gas supply system. It has a threaded shape that makes the sensing component in the burner assembly.
