The thickness control monitors the ice formation condition and provides the control input needed to regulate the production cycle. Its single configuration is designed for the specified control arrangement, while the 4" X 3-1/4" dimensions identify its physical size within the ice machine assembly.

\n

Ice Thickness Detection:
Detects the progression of ice formation as ice accumulates on the evaporator surface. Once the ice reaches the required sensing point, the probe provides an electrical signal to the control system, allowing the equipment to proceed to the next stage of the operating cycle. Accurate detection helps maintain repeatable ice formation from one cycle to another.

\n

Replacement Guidelines:
Replace the Thickness Control single if it is cracked, damaged, corroded, worn, or no longer provides reliable ice-thickness sensing. The part number 7627813 and dimensions 4" × 3-1/4" should be verified before replacement to ensure the correct thickness probe is selected. Replace the probe if deterioration affects ice-thickness detection, sensor positioning, signal response, or normal ice machine operation.

\n

Common Failure Symptoms:

\n\n

Equipment Compatibility:
The Manitowoc 7627813 Thickness Control single is specified for equipment requiring this particular probe configuration. Verify the equipment model, manufacturer part number, dimensions, and sensing arrangement before purchase.

" }, { "question": "What are common issues with the Manitowoc 7627813 Ice Thickness Probe?", "answer": "" }, { "question": "What does the Manitowoc 7627813 Thickness Control monitor?", "answer": "

The Manitowoc 7627813 is a thickness-control component associated with ice formation in a Manitowoc ice machine. It is used to monitor the ice formation point within the machine's operating cycle.

" }, { "question": "How does the thickness control relate to the ice-making cycle?", "answer": "

The thickness control provides a control input related to the amount of ice formed during the production cycle. This input helps the ice machine determine when the formation stage has reached its intended point.

" }, { "question": "Why is thickness control used in an ice machine?", "answer": "

Thickness control establishes a defined point for managing ice formation rather than allowing the production cycle to continue without a thickness-related control input. This makes it part of the machine's ice-production control system.

" }, { "question": "What does the single configuration mean for the Manitowoc 7627813?", "answer": "

The single configuration identifies the component as one thickness-control unit intended for its designated position in the ice machine. It distinguishes the part from configurations that use multiple thickness-control components.

" }, { "question": "When may the Manitowoc 7627813 require inspection?", "answer": "

Inspection may be relevant when ice formation changes noticeably or the machine does not respond at the expected point in its production cycle. These changes can indicate that the thickness-control component requires attention
