The TRUE 870837 Door Hinge Kit supports the door while providing the pivot point required for smooth opening and closing. Measuring 2-1/2" x 3", it is designed for the specified door assembly configuration. The hinge works with related door hardware to maintain controlled door movement during repeated operation.

\n

Load Support:
The hinge carries the mechanical load of the door at the upper mounting point and transfers that load into the cabinet-side mounting structure. It helps keep the door securely supported while reducing unwanted movement during repeated opening and closing. Proper load support also helps maintain consistent positioning of the door relative to the cabinet and surrounding hardware.

\n

Hinge Movement:
The hinge provides the rotational connection that allows the door to move through its intended opening and closing range. Its pivot surfaces and mounting points work together to maintain controlled movement while the door's weight is supported. Wear, looseness, or deformation within these areas can increase play, create uneven movement, or make the door harder to operate.

\n

Replacement Guidelines:
Replace the Door Hinge Kit if the hinge is cracked, bent, deformed, worn, loose, or no longer supports proper door movement and alignment. The part number 870837 and Top Right, 2-1/2" × 3" configuration should be verified before replacement to ensure the correct door hinge kit is selected. Replace the hinge kit if deterioration affects door support, alignment, movement, closing, or normal equipment operation.

\n

Common Failure Symptoms:

\n\n

Equipment Compatibility:
Verify that TRUE part number 870837 matches the equipment documentation before purchasing. Confirm the applicable refrigerator or freezer configuration, top-right door hinge arrangement, and manufacturer parts information.
