The Garland 2290404 Griddle Pilot Assembly Natural Gas is used to ignite the main burner by directing a small controlled stream of natural gas through the 0.026" orifice to create a pilot flame. It works by providing a constant supply of gas to the pilot tip where it ignites to allow the main burner to be lit as required. The assembly is mounted on the front or side of the griddle and it is placed in such a way that it is facing the main burner to ignite well. It enables the control of the flame to be placed accurately and the unit to be used consistently through the cooking cycles.
