The Southbend 1166013 Range Pilot Tube with Tip Rear Burner directs a small flow of gas to the pilot assembly which forms an uninterrupted flame that sets off the rear burner once the gas has been released. It works by keeping a steady gas flow between the control valve and the burner tip, keeping the flame in the right place to be ignited. This tube with a tip is placed at the back end of the range and it is connected to the back burner assembly to bring controlled ignition to allow the efficient burner operation in the kitchen commercial setting.
