The Montague 36349-9 Pilot Burner Natural Gas operates through the supply of a constant flame that is utilized to light the main burner in the process of heating the range. It operates by having the gas pass through the pilot tube to the burner tip where the flame is maintained to allow steady ignition whenever the heat is needed. This pilot burner is located close to the main burner unit within the appliance and linked to the gas supply line and aligned in such a way that the flame is in contact with the pilot burner to ensure effective burner lighting when the appliance is in operation.
