The Garland 9006800 Range Temperature Probe RTD with 36 inch wire leads operates by measuring the change in temperature in cooking equipment and sending the information to the control system to maintain the correct amount of heat. It works based on resistance temperature detector element which transforms changes in temperature into electrical signals, which keeps a stable check on the internal conditions. This thermometer is inserted in the range assembly which is usually close to the heating elements or cooking.
