The Montague 1070-7 Flame Sensor Probe is a safety system that is installed in compatible commercial gas heating and cooking appliances to detect the presence of flames in the burner. It identifies that there is a stable flame and a signal is sent to the controller or gas valve to indicate that ignition has taken place. The probe is installed close to the burner assembly in the combustion chamber and it sticks into the flame path to effectively sense the combustion during normal operation. It is applied in commercial ranges, ovens and broilers in the kitchen settings.
