The Star Mfg HO-187842 Quartz Element is a radiator that generates radiant heat when the single-phase power is passed through the internal heating filament. The element is supported by the ceramic end-to-end insulators, which isolate the electrical contact points. It is installed in the heating unit of compatible cooking appliances and is installed in a manner that directs the heat towards the cooking surface. It measures 12 1/4" in length and has 11" wire leads to be electrically connected. The unit has mounting supports, and the ceramic ends fit.
