The Bakers Pride S3091A Oven Ball Door Catch 5/8"-11 X 1" is an essential part that works by a spring-loaded ball that keeps the appliance firmly shut. When the door is forced to close, the ball squashes and then attaches itself to the strike plate, and it remains in tension to ensure that the door is straight. It is commonly fitted on the frame of the oven where the door joins the body so that the plunger can directly contact the mating surface of the door.
