Description

The Scotsman 12-1576-02 Ice Machine Fan Motor is a part that converts electrical energy to mechanical rotation to power the blades. This movement causes ambient air to pass across the coils, of the condenser to cool the heat that is trapped in the ice-forming cycle. This part is mounted in the condensing unit and is usually attached to a mounting bracket on the back of the shroud. The motor is powered by a shaded-pole or permanent split capacitor design to keep the airflow constant. The proper installation will enable the required thermal exchange to produce ice.
