Description

The Scotsman 16-1144-23 Ice Machine thermal expansion valve Kit controls the flow of the refrigerant into the vaporizer of the system by sensing the temperature and then making adjustments to the injection of coolant to maintain optimum levels of excess heat during operation. This is achieved using a sensing bulb and diaphragm system that responds to pressure changes in the system by opening or closing a valve through which the refrigerant enters a passage leading directly to the evaporator, where its operation is performed. Placed on the cooling line of the system, it is installed as a metering system for proper commercial ice production system refrigerants during their installation and operation.
