The Garland 2200602 Range Thermocouple 24" produces a minute electrical signal when the sensing tip is heated by a flame, and this signal can be used by the control system to sense the presence of a flame. Its length of 24 inches and diameter of 9 mm are extended to the heat source and generate the necessary 20 -30 mV output. This thermocouple is fitted in the combustion chamber of suitable Garland equipment, and the sensing element is placed in the flame path, and the lead is connected to the gas valve or controller.
