The Imperial 1160 Thermostat works by measuring the temperature of the inside of the oven and changing the amount of heat being emitted to keep the temperature within a predetermined range of 175 degrees Fahrenheit up to 500 degrees Fahrenheit. It has a capillary tube and sensing bulb to check the temperature change and pass information to the heating part of the oven. This thermostat is installed in commercial applications and the 36 inch capillary and 12-1/4 inch sensing bulb of the thermostat can be placed flexibly to enable accuracy monitoring and control of temperature.
