The Star Mfg WS-58936 Thermostat Kit 3/8" X 4-1/2" is an oven temperature controller that measures the heat level in the oven and changes the electrical circuit to keep the temperature at the desired level. Its internal mechanism reacts to temperature variations that are detected by the sensing bulb and opens or closes the control pathway as required during operation. This thermostat kit is fixed at the back of the control panel or inside the housing of the oven and the sensing bulb is fitted inside the cooking chamber to check the heat levels in the oven when it is in normal operation.
