Description

The True 979438 Reel Retriever stores and handles coiled lines or cables by winding them around a spool that keeps the line tensioned and does not allow the lines to tangle. It is attached to the appliance bracket using the fasteners that are included, and the reel can rotate freely as the lines are extended or reeled in. The reel retriever is placed at the side or back of the equipment, where the cords have to be managed and are ready to use on the compatible units to ensure safe and efficient operation.

Step1: Disconnect power to the refrigeration unit before starting service.

Step2: Locate the existing reel retriever assembly and note its mounting position and cable routing.

Step3: Remove the mounting hardware and disconnect the old reel retriever.

Step4: Install the new reel retriever in the same orientation and secure it with the original hardware.

Step5: Reattach any cables, cords, or linkage connected to the retriever mechanism.

Step6: Verify that the pull tension operates smoothly without binding.

Step7: Restore power and test the assembly to ensure proper retraction and accurate operation.
