The Hobart 00-411496-000H1 Flame Switch is a thermal sensing part that is used to detect the existence of a pilot light or a burner flame. It works by transforming heat into a mechanical or electrical signal, which allows the main gas valve to be open during the heating cycle. This switch is placed in the assembly section and is normally mounted in a position, where the sensing element can be in direct contact with the flame path. This can sense the change in temperature and block the flow of gas into the combustion chamber in case ignition does not take place.
