The Vulcan Hart 00-844492 1/2" NPT cast body vacuum breaker with chrome metal cap is used to prevent backflow. This device works in manner that, whenever negative pressure is established in the system, it admits air into the operational system, thus, breaking the vacuum to eliminate risk of contamination. It is made of strong material to provide for its durability and the chrome cap on top gives it a professional look.
