The Imperial 1207 Char-Rock Broiler Bottom Grate 15" X 8" 72" SQ is made of cast iron to hold volcanic briquettes directly over the flames of the burner. This element enables the uniform distribution of the high intensity of heat and the dripping away of the grease from the food surface, which produces the characteristic smoky flavor of outdoor grilling. The grate is placed at the bottom of heating space and fits into the 15-inch by 8-inch frame to give a total cooking area of 72 square inches.
