The Manitowoc 200802 Ice Thickness Control Probe is used to measure the ice formation by observing the difference as it accumulates on the evaporator surface. Once the ice has attained a specified thickness, the probe will signal the control system to move on to the next ice-making cycle. This ice thickness control probe is mounted on the evaporator assembly and is set to have the sensing tip in the area of ice growth in size and has wiring attached to it to be connected to the control circuit.
